Rabos is a place to hang out and play games. Find a new game. Invite friends, or play solo or against some bots. When it's hard to bring out a physical game and meet up to play in person, play on Rabos instead. Rabos takes care of set up, clean up, and most importantly rules. We make it easy to see what you can do, and let you make the meaningful decisions without bothering you with game upkeep.
Rabos looks and plays like you're sitting at a table with the board game laid out for you. Just a click or 2 and you're in a new game. Send a link or password to a friend, and you're instantly connected and playing together.
We often offer games that are currently crowdfunding, so you can try out brand new games for free. If you love it, you can go pledge for a physical copy knowing the rules, and how great it is.
Rabos is Nathan Hunley's brainchild. He began 9 years ago programming a board game engine that could handle all kinds of different games, and make them quickly, and play intuitively. Nathan just wants to play more games more often, and wants to help other like-minded folks.
Nathan has learned a lot about games from working as a designer and programmer at Sony, Nintendo, and his own little 2-man iPhone app start up: Igloo Games.
Running Cafe Meeple, a board game cafe in Japan, for over 13 years has been invaluable in finding out how people like to game, and how best to present and teach games as well.
